Peanut Hull Pellets (PHP)

Peanut Hull Pellets are produced at CM Biomass’ own factory in the USA, where residues from the large peanut industry are utilized. The residues are the outer shells, which are separated from the main product, the peanuts. When pelletized, the product exhibits characteristics very similar to wood pellets, making them an excellent alternative to fossil fuels. Using Peanut Hull Pellets provides an efficient, highly uniform, and reliable product, akin to wood pellets, offering a more sustainable alternative to fossil fuels.

    The origin of CM Biomass’ Peanut Hull Pellets is Georgia, USA, where we operate our production facility. There are significant volumes of residues available in the region, as peanut production is one of the primary agricultural products in Georgia.

    CM Biomass currently produces 150.000 mt of PHP, with plans to expand by an additional 50.000 mt. This expansion is expected to meet the primary potential in the US Southeast region. Moreover, peanuts are also produced in various other locations worldwide, presenting substantial potential to establish additional pelletizing capacities elsewhere.

    Over 95% of the biomass we supply originates from residue streams, including sawmills, vegetable oil production, and deshelling processes. By repurposing these materials, we support local waste management and provide an alternative
